Village is less than 2 miles away and is a pleasant walk down country
lanes or a short drive. There is a popular pub serving meals,

Jennings ales and other refreshments.
The Lakeland
market town of Keswick is only 8 miles away. This has a vast range
of quality shops, good restaurants, local galleries, a cinema and
much more. Visit the Cumberland Pencil Factory, where the first
pencils in the World were made, or the Cars of the Stars museum
which boasts 'Britain's top ten favourite vehicles' (from the Batmobile
to the Trotters van).
